In the context of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the European Commission, OSEO and the French Ministry for the Economy, Industry and Employment wish to highlight a selection of examples of successful European SMEs whose innovation projects have had a considerable economic impact due to Europe-oriented corporate strategies and to the various European support mechanisms these companies have benefited from.

It provides more than 30 company presentations of research and innovation projects, the European programmes in which they have participated, together with the financial and technical support mechanisms that they have benefited from, at regional, national or European level.

We hope these projects will serve as examples for other European SMEs who are planning their research and development agenda, but who are not familiar with the various programmes and procedures.
